“Is there anything too hard for the Lord?” This was the question God raised to Abraham when He revealed to him that his wife Sarah would get pregnant though she was past child-bearing age and Abraham himself was also very old at the age of ninety-nine. But a year later, Isaac was born – the fulfillment of God’s promise.
Is there anything too hard for the Lord? After 400 long years of slavery in Egypt – the superpower nation at that time, the people of Israel went out and marched towards the promised land – the land which was promised to Abraham and that his descendants will inhabit. Despite all the odds: Pharaoh’s hardened heart initially won’t let them go; the Red Sea before them and the Egyptian army behind chasing them; but by God’s miraculous intervention they were able to cross to the other side of the sea on dry ground and drowned all Pharaoh’s army as they were pursued.
Is there anything too hard for the Lord? He fed more than a million Israelites in the desert, every day for forty years as they waited for the timing of the Lord for them to possess their promised land. He caused water to gush out abundantly from rocks; sent them meat by commanding millions of quails to land where they were; set a pillar of clouds by day to cover them from the scorching heat of a desert sun and a pillar of fire by night to protect them from cold. One more miraculous thing that happened, because of the absence of malls and boutiques, their clothes and sandals did not wear out all through out those 40 long years!
Is there anything too hard for the Lord? Jesus said, “With God nothing is impossible and all things are possible.” He did not only spoke these words but demonstrated them in His own life. He fed 5000 people by multiplying 5 loaves of bread and 2 fish. He healed a woman with 12 years issue of blood, 12 men with leprosy, a man born-blind, a crippled for 38 years. Jesus walked on water, calm strong winds, waves and storm. He drove out legions of demons and set those who were bound. And best of all, Jesus died, was buried but on the third day rose from the dead and showed the world that NOTHING IS INDEED TOO HARD FOR HIM!
