According to the World Health Organization (WHO), “a pandemic is the worldwide spread of a new disease. An influenza pandemic occurs when a new influenza virus emerges and spreads around the world, and most people do not have immunity. Viruses that have caused past pandemics typically originated from animal influenza viruses.
”The spread of the now known as COVID-19 virus that started last December 2019 in Wuhan, China is now considered a pandemic. With more than 4 million people affected worldwide asof this writing, in 180 countries and 268,000+ deaths, this pandemic is shaking the whole world.
Nations and cities are in a lockdown, businesses closed, unemployment skyrocketed, and fear of the unknown is real. No cure or vaccine yet to counteract this viral attack and all the governments can best do is to put everyone in a home quarantine status. The important message for months now is to “Stay at home and save lives,” including your own and your loved ones. You may find staying at home most of the time already boring as you let each day pass while waiting for this pandemic to be over. I’m with you now in prayer that together, with the help of our Great God and Creator, we will survive, come out stronger and learn something from this one of a kind time of our lives.
Now, thank you for giving your precious time in picking this eBook to read. My desire is that in one way or another I’ll be able to inspire, encourage and give you some suggestions that you can insert in your daily routine to make them moremeaningful and productive.
This book contains 44 things you can do during this lockdown. I know you might have a lot of things which require your time. But as you read along you can still find more ideas to make your days more useful and memorable.
My list of “what to do this pandemic” is not exhaustive. It’s just 44 things which I find helpful for this challenging time. I chose 44 because it’s my 44thbirthday this year 2020. I celebrated it during this lockdown/ECQ time. It’s a once in a lifetime experience for me (I’m praying that on my next birthday I will be able to invite my friends for a big party without social distancing and wearing of masks, including you my dear reader). I hope and pray that there will never be another one like this in our future. My list came from a mixture of my own experiences (personal and with my family), observations, studies and personal views. Some of these probably you’ve been doing already, it’s still okay, you can skip and go to the next point if you want, or you can read through them all. This is just a short eBook to finish.
Every recommendation here falls under one of the four categories or areas of life thatI identified. It’s eitherPhysical, Relational, Financial or Spiritual/Mental. They are randomly arrangedso it doesn’t really matter how you choose to read the items as long as you are learning something along the way.
